What is a copywriter?
A copywriter is someone who writes text for various purposes. He or she might write the copy (text) for articles, blogs, ads, newsletters, press releases, brochures, white papers, sales letters, or websites. Basically, a copywriter writes content for sales and marketing uses.
What do you charge to write …?
I charge a project fee to my clients so that they know what they are paying upfront. When we discuss the terms and conditions of the assignment we also discuss the payment arrangements.
Some of my projects (such as my newsletter service) have a set fee for the setup and then an additional fee per issue. Other projects have fees based on the time it will take to complete and the complexity of the work to be done. It is hard to give a figure without determining the scope of the work.
